I’m Sharon, an Artist and Graphic Designer specialising in custom pet portraits in traditional art methods. I live in a lovely little section of sunny Queensland, sharing with my partner and our adopted cat, Winter. Living in a slightly rural region of Australia, I’m surrounded by nature and get regular visits from the ‘locals’ – wallabies, kangaroos, and ducks – who wander past my studio window every day. I enjoy being inspired by Australian flora and fauna and hope to bring more of that into my work in the future.
I mostly work in watercolours and coloured pencils but I enjoy working with all different mediums. I also dabble with calligraphy, digital illustration, and writing, and I’ll soon be adding oil paintings to my portfolio of pet portraits! I’m so excited about this, because oil paintings last an incredibly long time and have such a beautiful depth, so they make a truly lasting memory of your best friend.
For me, it’s the most rewarding experience to create something personal and meaningful that my clients can cherish for years. I’m an avid animal lover, and even though I’d describe myself as a ‘cat person,’ that enthusiasm is followed closely by an intense love of dogs, too! I understand that special connection we have with our pets, and this drew me (pun intended!) to focus on detailed pet portraits that capture the unique expression each animal – your pet portrait will be recognisable as your beloved best friend, so it will always refresh those favourite memories at a glance.
I use high quality and professional grade art supplies for my work, and my prints are made using archival quality pigment inks and archival paper.
